DESCRIPTION:  In the decade of the 1960's, there was a huge interest in bright color, beads, and fringe.  These Millefiori* candy glass earrings recreate that mood.  A hot summer crystal color palette and handmade candy glass beads are featured in this modernist earring design of geometric inspiration. A burnished bronze metal finish provides a warm, rich background for the riot of color.

*Millefiori is a glasswork technique which produces distinctive decorative patterns on glass. The word Millefiori is a combination of the Italian words "mille" (thousand) and "fiori" (flowers).  Bundles of tiny glass filament rods are sliced, then fired to meld their brilliant colors and floral patterns.  No two beads are ever identical.
